Surface Treatment

• In terms of step sound, given its sound propagation characteristics, Wicanders® Acousticork® NRT reaches values of 74 dB – approximately 10 dB better than the acoustic woods and laminates tested. The drum sound effect is reduced significantly. It will also dramatically reduce high frequency sound and therefore improve walking comfort.
• Due to its excellent sound insulation properties, in terms of impact sound values (sound which your downstairs neighbours hear), Wicanders® Acousticork® NRT reaches a value of 18 dB which represents a 3 dB improvement on market standard values.
